Nearly 500 kilos of waste were removed this past weekend of the seabed and coastline of the beach girl from Puerto de Santiago and its surroundings in an activity that was organized by Department of Tourism of the City of the Historic Village of Santiago del Teide directed by Steven Gerald Mckenna and Diving Club "Riaansscuba" and the Volunteer Firefighters who worked at the Santiago del Teide and Adeje, Club de Surf Punta Blanca ", the English Association of Lifeguards and a large number of volunteers came to the beach girl. This activity was intended to sensitize the local population and tourists of the importance of protecting and conserving marine biodiversity and contribute to marine conservation and raise awareness among coastal users of the need to consider fishing habits to healthy marine ecosystem. At the end of the activity was a great paella and several surprises for all participants in the activity.
