"King Henry: It is true that we are in grave danger even greater therefore should our courage. "
Shakespeare, Henry V

MEXICO CITY, Oct. 12 .- Felipe Calderón unwise. Felipe Calderón obsessive. Felipe Calderón as psychologically tied Andrés Manuel López Obrador who digs the phrase with which polarized the country. "A danger for Mexico," repeated with pride. "The politics of anger and resentment you sow", claims he now shows what previously reported. Mexico's president boasting that he blamed the division his opponent but which is also responsible. Four years after the election, AMLO seems more concerned with the imminent return of the PRI. Four years after a hectic process that insists on reviving, Felipe Calderón refocuses look in the wrong place. In fear that wakes a man and not the conditions that produced it. In fear that Mexico should have him the Messiah in tropical and non-persistent problems that lead to its permanence.
Because fear that Felipe Calderon has Andrés Manuel López Obrador is the same share as many Mexicans, those who prefer to hate a character before to look to the country that bore him. It is the fear that poor country of "nacos, the indigenous and ragged. Fear of people living on the ridges stand selling gum or remain in the area growing corn. Fear of angry miners and cane rebels. Fear of the disaffected and the marginalized. Afraid to look at the reality of underdevelopment behind the rhetoric of modernity. Afraid of the truth and ourselves. Afraid to look at the country as it is. Behind the myths. Behind electric fences and the fortress walls. Hypocrisy behind the foundation in a country deeply and painfully unequal.
Mexico is urged to be afraid, but not a political issue. Mexico is urgent need to fear is born of honesty displayed before the "land of lies", as named Sara Sefchovich. The fear that emerges from the gap between what is said and what is, between the discourse of power and reality of power. The fear that arises when we discover that the lie is the essence of Mexican political life is also indispensable to govern. The fear of deception to recognize domestic consumption that politicians use every day: the speech that says, "The Senate works for you" and that the Indians are our equals and that the government seeks social justice and education is a priority and that the economy is healthy and strong and we are winning the war against organized crime, being that none of this is so.
And those big lies prevent placing a mirror before the eyes of the country and against those who have allowed the way it is today. A place rich with many poor. A place with more billionaires than Switzerland, according to the latest list of Forbes magazine. Where much of the fortunes have been accumulated in industries with little or no competition and protected by the government. Where Televisa regularly get everything you want and bargain price. Where, according to a recent study Founding of the NGO, seven of every 10 Mexicans suffer from an abuse of authority every time they step on a Public Prosecutor. Where 94% of crimes go unsolved. Where 40% of women report having suffered domestic violence. Where there is not even "responsible" for the tragedy of ABC Childcare. Where 17 million people live in extreme poverty. Hard data from a country where life is difficult for most people who survive him.
That is what should be scary. That is what should bring fear. That's what Mexicans should fight and question and hate and remind candidates Felipe Calderón and presidential, every day at all times. There are too many Mexicans for whom the country does not work. There are too many Mexicans for whom more of the same during the government of Felipe Calderón has meant worse than himself. There are too many Mexicans who want a thorough transformation of the country that has excluded or mistreated or ignored. And there are too many Mexicans who do not understand, for which the country is not so bad. For the privileged live well, albeit behind ever higher walls, with more and more armed guards with security entourages ever larger. Even with fear.
and hence the following questions: What is and has been more dangerous for Mexico, López Obrador or a socioeconomic system that concentrates wealth and does not want to distribute it more fairly? "López Obrador or political elites, social and business satisfaction with the chops to be served? "López Obrador or political parties that represent the people and accountable to it? "López Obrador or political corruption erodes trust in institutions? "López Obrador or politicians sitting at long tables with tablecloths felt they reach major agreements so that little change? AMLO fierce hatred attached to its leading critic, Felipe Calderon an opponent false. The real danger for Mexico is not a man, but the resistance of many to share the country and govern it better. And the fear that Mexicans should be shared is the possibility that Mexico will continue.
