Jalapa, Veracruz The Regional Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of Judicial Power Federation (TEPJF) validated the distribution of the 20 councils by way of proportional representation in the Congress of Veracruz.
The allocation made by the Electoral Institute Veracruz (IEV) gives nine seats multimember the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), eight National Action (PAN), two Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) and Convergencia.
Thus, the tricolor 62 will be represented in the state legislature with 29 deputies they won in 20 districts, the PAN will have 15 seats, New Alliance will have three, two Aztec sun and Convergence. The three judges
Pastor Claudia Badilla, Yolli García Álvarez and Yolanda Muñoz Tagle dismissed the grievances filed by PAN, Honeycomb, PT, PRD and Convergencia. However, the sentence is ordered to IEV change the interpretation of the term "majority party" made for distribution.
said that the "majority party" is anyone who has obtained 25 councils via uninominal and therefore can not get more than five multi-member positions.
That interpretation does not affect the composition of proportional representation spaces for the next legislature.
